GENERATION GEARS
Each player controls their own innovative, gear-spinning player board, where Animals (represented as tokens) are placed in either a short-generation or long-generation wheel.
When players rotate their gear (indicating the passing of time), all their tokens will advance, eventually reaching their final spot where they fall off the board, becoming available to place on the map.

SIMULTANEOUS ACTION
SELECTION
The active player of a turn chooses an action space available in the center of the board – which is always at the axis of 2 action wheels – and turns one action wheel 90 degrees before taking both actions.
All other players simultaneously take just one of the two actions, meaning there is continuous play on every turn!

CARD-DRIVEN
The 160 cards are divided in 5 families:
- marine mammals
- terrestrial mammals
- invertebrates
- birds
- fish
Players will play each of their Fauna cards on either the short or long generation side next to their player boards, in a column stack. Each card has a flash effect and will put an animal token on the corresponding wheel.

COLUMN BUILDING
Players can do 2 main actions with the cards that are located on the top of either column:
- The “Activate” action allows players to activate the ability of the animal
- The “Reproduce” action gets more animals of that type on the player wheels for future generating.
Activate and Reproduce causes the top Fauna card to go the bottom of the stack – cycling through all of the cards. So careful planning and timing is essential!

GAME-CHANGING EVENTS
At the end of a round, an Event occurs. There will be a majority check in that region and a tile is placed on a section of the board.
The new event tile will change the map, opening new possibilities or restraining others: tourism, container ship, black tide… you have to be clever to navigate through the Arctic…
